How we test and decide
Tools
Our tool list comes from public research. Each tool shows its price type, the tasks it helps with, and a link to its website. Tools marked “Not tested yet” have not been tried by an editor. Testing notes, pricing tables and privacy facts are added as we check each tool.
Job safety tracker
Each job gets one of three outlooks: ✓ Mostly steady, ◐ Changing, or ↻ Big shift ahead. The outlook comes from our editorial estimate of when technology could do most of the job’s current tasks at scale:
- Range starts in 2035 or earlier: Big shift ahead
- Range starts 2036–2045: Changing
- Range starts after 2045: Mostly steady
The estimates combine Frey & Osborne (2013), Eloundou et al. (2023), ILO (2023) and McKinsey (2023), adjusted for physical work, licensing and BLS/WEF outlooks. None of these sources publishes per-job dates. Confidence is low for most jobs. These are estimates, not predictions or advice.
News
Headlines are collected automatically from public RSS feeds every few hours. We show the headline, a short excerpt, the source and the time, and always link to the original. Stories are sorted into topics by keywords. AI-written summaries, if we add them, will be labelled.
